Grace Lutheran Church holds a weekly food distribution 2-4 p.m. every Wednesday, Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.

The Macungie Farmers Market is open 4-7 p.m. Thursdays on Lumber Street, just off Main Street, Macungie. The market will be open every Thursday through the summer.

The Macungie Town Beautification Committee is looking for Macungie residents who are willing to adopt “homeless” scarecrows to line East and West Main Street in the borough. After they have adorned Main Street, they will be turned over to the purchaser. Adoption papers can be picked up at the Macungie Institute, 510 E.
