Michael F. Oleschak, 90, of Coplay, died at home Aug. 29, 2022. He was the husband of Sonia M. (Dubroksy) Oleschak for 63 years.
Born in Cementon, he was a son of the late Michael and Pauline (Gollatz) Oleschak.
He was a 1950 graduate of Whitehall High School.
He was in the U.S. Army, stationed in Fort Ord, California, during the Korean conflict.
He worked in inspections at General Electric for 30 years. He was a groundskeeper for Saucon Valley Country Club for many years before he retired in 1998. He was a pinsetter at a Coplay bowling alley as a teenager.
He was a bowler at places such as the American Club of Coplay and the Coplay Saengerbund.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Betsy Oleschak of Coplay and Kristin Axberg of Washington, D.C.; a niece and nephew, Kathryn Demko and Michael Ivankovits; and a sister, Barbara Polchik of Catasauqua.
