James Martin Miler, 89, of Allentown, formerly of Williamsport, died Aug. 27, 2022, in his home. He was the husband of Deanna J. (Karicher) Miller. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary Jan. 24. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Martin and Kathryn (Nace) Miller.

He was a customer service agent for United Airlines for 40 years, retiring in 1996.

He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, attaining the rank of sergeant.

He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church for many years.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Stuart J. and his wife, Dr. Laurie Harford; a daughter, Sharon L. and her husband, Christopher Surovy; a brother, John, and his wife, Sylvia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard; a daughter, Susan Kershner; granddaughters Sierra and Makala Ashmar.
