Bath: Tavern Night set for Sept. 9

Governor Wolf Historical Society presents Tavern Night 7-10 p.m. Sept. 9 on the historical society campus, 6600 Jacksonville Road.

This event is scheduled the second Friday of every month.

It is BYOB. Light snacks and soft drinks are provided.

The campus will open 6:30 p.m., and doors open 6:45 p.m.

Live music is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. There will be great bands each month.

Bath Borough will be holding a fall community yard sale 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 10.

This is for borough residents only.

Bath Area Food Bank distributes food the second Tuesday of each month, starting around 9:30 a.m.

The next distribution is Sept. 13 in the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St., Bath.

Keystone Rod and Gun Club, 243 Mulberry St., will be having bingo 6 p.m. Sept. 17.

There will be three guns, one basket of cheer, three purses and three cash prizes.

Advance tickets for purchase will be available at the Sept. 12 monthly meeting or by Venmo to KeystoneRod_GunClub.

Bath Museum, 121 S. Walnut St., will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 17.

Volunteers are always welcome, including those needing to utilize community service hours.

Bath will be having a Blues and Brews event 1-7 p.m. Sept. 17 on Chestnut Street.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be holding a gun bingo Sept. 17.

Doors open 4:30 p.m., and bingo starts 7 p.m.

There will be 20 regular games and five special games. You must be 21 years of age to attend.

Between now and Sept. 18, Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be working with local Ukrainian Orthodox churches by collecting funds to provide humanitarian aid and medical supplies for Ukrainian refugees.

Look for tags on the Christmas in August trees found in the fellowship hall and gathering area. Choose one or more and provide a monetary donation.

Checks, earmarked for the Ukrainian refugee project, should be made payable to Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church and dropped off in the church office or placed in the offering baskets.

During the month of September, Emmanuel’s church will help Bath Area Food Bank by collecting canned tuna or chicken.

There is also an ongoing need for ramen noodles.

Donations can be dropped off in the bins in fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.

The food bank is always in need of monetary donations, which stretch farther than any amount of food.

Don’t forget to visit the Bath Farmer’s Market 9 a.m.-noon every Saturday.

Highlights include fresh produce, gourmet peanut butters, smoked cheeses, artisanal breads, dog treats, candles, cutting boards, spirits, jewelry and much more.
