Resident earns White House honors
Bethlehem area resident Linda Mayger was recently recognized at the White House for her efforts on behalf of global disaster relief organization ShelterBox USA, winning a 2022 President’s Volunteer Service Award.
The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a special recognition presented by the White House. It is part of a national program created in 2003 through the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation for individuals of all ages who contribute at least 100 hours to volunteer activities.
ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and household supplies to individuals around the world who have been forced from their homes by disaster or armed conflicts.
Resident on summer internship
Caleya Tereska of Bethlehem, and a student at Muhlenberg College, is working as an intern in the regulatory affairs department at B. Braun Medical Inc. The department manufactures drugs and medical devices to provide to hospitals for patients in need. Tereska ensures that the product labeling that was posted on the FDA’s website was correct.
