The Sanctuary at Haafsville, Breinigsville, received a grant from nonprofit TCC Gives from the national Verizon retailer TCC, as part of the company’s 10 Days of Giving program.

Leading up to TCC’s 10th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway on July 31 - where stores nationwide handed out backpacks full of school supplies for students ahead of the school year - TCC held 10 give back initiatives to benefit its customers and nearly 850 store communities, with one being that five nonprofits across the nation received grants from TCC Gives.

Customers and employees were encouraged to nominate their favorite nonprofits in this initiative and then vote for them to receive the grand prize of $25,000.

At the end of the voting, the Sanctuary at Haafsville came in second place and received $5,000.

According to The Sanctuary at Haafsville June newsletter, “In the recent “TCC Gives Big Grant” contest we came in second place and are the grateful recipients of a $5,000 grant! We are applying this money toward our capital campaign for the new cat building.

“And a huge thank you to all of you for voting and spreading the word, especially those who personally made sure their friends, family and co-workers voted.”

This specific initiative and the 10 Days of Giving program furthers TCC and TCC Gives’ missions to be integral parts in communities around the nation and be positive influences for their customers and neighbors.
