Jeffrey T. Teets, 65, of Coplay died peacefully Aug. 25, 2022, in his home.
He was the husband of Mary Ann (Fritzinger) Kneas whom he met in 2004.
Born May 15, 1957, in Allentown, he was the son of Hope Gruver of Whitehall and the late Robert H. Teets.
A 1975 graduate of Whitehall High School and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute, he met his lifelong friend, Clay Sauerwine, there.
Working throughout the Northeast region of the United States, he owned and operated Salvage Transport Services, Coplay for 45 years.
During his free-time, he could be found at his home garage building and repairing vehicles with friends.
He had a passion for learning and was hard working.
In 1999, he was a championship race car driver at Grandview Speedway, Bechtelsville.
He traveled extensively with his wife on their Harley Davidson.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by children Sarah R. Teets and Jeff A. Teets, both of Whitehall; stepchildren Shawna M. Gildner and her husband, Andrew R., of Slatington, Justin L. Kneas and his fianceé, Rebecca L. Glitzer, of Lehighton; siblings Lois Hower and her husband, Dennis, and Randy Teets and his wife, Cindy, all of Whitehall; aunt, Audrey Gruver, of Whitehall; and beloved cat, Peter.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sept. 3 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Jami L. Possinger officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
