Helen S. Pidstawski, 96, of Allentown, died on Aug. 27, 2022, in Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.
She and her late husband, Nicholas Pidstawski, were married 47 cherished years and with whom she waited 27 years to be reunited eternally.
Born Sept. 14, 1925, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Hlatki) Novak.
She was a clean room supervisor at the former Lucent Technologies, AT&T and Western Electric, Allentown, for 40 years before retiring in 1991.
She was a Catholic.
Early in life, she worked on her parents’ farm and wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.
She loved sweets, fashion and shopping.
Her entire life was dedicated to the care of her family, her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her greatest joy.
She also loved spending time with her beloved sisters, Margaret and Mary.
Her survivors include a son, Nicholas S. Pidstawski Sr., and his wife, Debra, of Allentown; grandchildren Krysta N. Barlok and her husband, Tim, of Allentown, and Nicholas S. Pidstawski Jr. and his wife, Katrina, of Allentown; and great-grandchildren Savannah, Lucas, Nicholas III and Benjamin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Sept. 1 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.
The Rev. Msgr. Joseph P.T. Smith will be celebrant.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church.
Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
