Catasauqua: Wonton Soups to perform Sept. 2

The Wonton Soups will perform 7-10 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Catasauqua Park amphitheater, 501 American St. Don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets.

There is only one more concert for the summer concert season.

Catasauqua Fire Police will be having a flea market 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 3 at the fire training grounds on Race Street. Food, soda and snacks will be available for sale.

There is a small cost for a 10-by-10 space.

Catasauqua Garden Club will present a flower-arranging demonstration at the Sept. 7 meeting, which will start 1 p.m., at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

Members of the artistic design and horticultural exhibits will be on display for judging. There will be light refreshments.

All are welcome to share a few hours with fellow gardeners while you relax and recharge.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will hold an “old-fashioned Sunday school” 9 a.m. Sept. 11 in the chapel.

Children age 3 to middle school can register with their parents.

Attendees will learn some new and “old-fashioned” Sunday School songs, visit their Sunday School rooms and enjoy a skit about a friend from the Bible.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., participates in Redner’s Save-A-Tape program. The church collects Redner’s receipts, and the proceeds help support Holy Trinity youth who want to attend a week of camp at Bear Creek.

Place your receipts in the basket in the narthex.
