Richard (Dick) H. Arnold, 87, of Winter Haven, Florida, and formerly of Bethlehem, died Aug. 8, 2022. Born in Friedensville, he was a son of the late Harrison and Cecelia (Kehs) Arnold. He was the husband of the late Helen (Chrinko) Arnold.
He was in the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division, stationed in Korea during peacetime. He earned the U.S. Army Good Conduct Award and was recognized almost 50 years later for protecting our freedom by the Korean-American Cultural Foundation.
He was first employed by Saucon Valley Country Club. He worked in the Beam Yards and was a crane operator for 28 years with Bethlehem Steel. He retired as a foreman.
He coached Little League baseball.
He is survived by three sons and their wives, Richard and Karen Arnold, Roger and Susan Arnold and Daniel and Antiminia Arnold; three sisters, Jean Cambiotti, Gertrude Steinbach and her husband Joseph and Jane Lenner and her husband John; and five grandchildren, Samantha Frack and her husband Jason, Tyler Arnold, Anthony Arnold, Austin Arnold and Samuel Arnold.
He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Arnold; five sisters, Beatrice Erney, Dorothy Arnold, Kathryn Arnold, Evelyn Mastropieri and Joan Parry; and four brothers-in-law, Leroy Erney, Frank Mastropieri, Al Cambiotti and Kenneth Parry.
