Howard A. Bortz, 92, of Emmaus, died Aug. 24, 2022, in ProMedica, Allentown. He was the husband of Shirley L. (Gross) Bortz for 70 years. Born in Alburtis, he was the son of the late Daniel E. and Sarah (Adams) Bortz.

He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean War.

He worked as a meat salesman for B & M Provisions for many years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., the Fourth Alarmers and Fire Company #1, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Sharon and her husband, Jon Kleintop, of Alburtis, Kathy, of Emmaus, Susan Anthony, of Allentown; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Dale.
