Edward J. Lesko, 83, of Allentown, formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 22, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the husband of the late Grace R. (Krause) Lesko. Born in Kuhnsville, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Alda (Nespala) Lesko.
He was a 1957 graduate of Allentown High School, where he excelled at baseball and basketball.
He worked for Lehigh Valley Dairy for 31 years, drove a truck for Alpine Beverage and later worked as a custodian for East Penn School District for 16 years, retiring in 2005.
He was an avid softball player for many years and was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame in 2018.
He was a life member of Fearless Fire Company, Mercantile Club, of Emmaus, Fire Company #1 Emmaus, Hogans and the Emmaus Historical Society. He was also a member of the 1908 Raker Society and the Firemen’s Relief Association.
He is survived by his significant other, Sandra J. Blank; brothers, William and Floyd; sisters, Margaret Boyle and Josephine Litzenberger; nieces and nephews.
