Jeffrey Lynn Snyder, 76, of Whitehall, died Aug. 17, 2022.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edwin and Frances (Warmkessel) Snyder. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Yost) Snyder for 29 years.

He was a 1964 graduate of William Allen High School.

He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965 and fought in Vietnam. He retired as a master sergeant after 26 years of active duty and eight years in the reserves.

He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and Whitehall-Coplay School District.

He is survived by a daughter, Megan L. and husband Eric M. Holinka; pappy to Alexia L. Krasley, Dominic J. Holinka and Joshua R. Holinka; three sisters, Carol Hoffman and husband Carl, Beverly Crist and husband Cliff and Deborah Porter and husband Gary; four nieces, Mary-Beth Walsh and husband John, Jill Makovsky and husband Jerry, Tracy Murphy and husband Sean and Lori Richards and husband Ken; three nephews, Bryan Crist and wife Corrine, Reece Hoffman and David Diehl; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Mausoleum Chapel, Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown. There are no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to the grandchildren’s education fund (checks payable to Megan L. Holinka), to the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, 18052.
