Joseph S. Romano, 66, of Blakeslee, died Aug. 13, 2022, in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

He and his wife, Grace R. (Spencer) Romano, were married 22 years.

Born July 18, 1956, in South Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nicolina (Tremolitti) Romano.

He was a postal carrier and clerk for the United States Postal Service for 30 years.

After his formal retirement, he was a tennis coach with the United States Tennis Association and also coached at Pocono Mountain West High School.

He loved all animals and wildlife and could be found feeding the deer in his backyard.

He was a devout Christian.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Marisa N. (Romano) Simonik and her husband, Michael, of Blakeslee, Gina M. Romano and her fiancé, Robert J. Krzywicki, of Nicholson, Joseph M. Romano of Blakeslee, and Rose G. Romano of Blakeslee; sisters Silvia Rossi of Philadelphia, Helen Fox of Newtown Square, and Venus Pasquarella of Philadelphia; and grandpups Lincoln, Bo, Chance, Kato, Winona and Eve.

A celebration of his life will be at a later date. There will be no public calling hours.
