ABOVE: Knauss family descendants gather for a photo and reunion at the Knauss Homestead, 152 E. Main Street, Emmaus, recently. The family homestead dates to 1777 and was passed from generation to generation into the mid-20th century. Ancestor Sebastian Knauss and Jacob Ehrenhardt are credited as co-founders of what would become Emmaus. The Knauss Homestead Preservation Society takes care of the homestead.
