Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is sponsoring a taco bar 4-7 p.m. Aug. 27 at the church. The menu includes hard, soft or walking tacos with all the fixings, a beverage and dessert.

The event, rain or shine, is takeout or outdoor seating.

Cost is by donation. Proceeds support LVHN Street Medicine, which serves the area’s homeless.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church will be presenting a murder mystery dinner theater - titled “Death and Doo Wop” - 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The menu includes pulled pork on a roll, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and beverages, all catered by Bad Bones BBQ.

The preschool at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., is now accepting registration for the 2022-23 school year.

The 4-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
