Bath: Christ Church UCC to hold ham dinner

Christ Church United Church of Christ, 109 S. Chestnut St., Bath, will be having a ham and string bean dinner with indoor dining 4-7 p.m. Aug. 27. The menu includes ham, potatoes, string beans and a dinner roll, with a choice of applesauce or creamed cabbage and cake or pie.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will be having Ride for K-9 Kop Project Sept. 10. The rain date is Sept. 11.

The cost includes food, beverages and live entertainment provided by Banned from the Ranch and Big Bone Daddy.

Registration is set for 10 a.m.-noon, and kickstands are up by noon.

There will also be a basket social 4-9 p.m. Sept. 9 and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 10.

All proceeds benefit K-9 Kop Project. Due to police dogs being present, no other animals are allowed.

The kitchen will be open.

Organizers are looking for any type of donations for the Chinese auction for the bike run.

If you have the time, try helping homeless veterans.

Weave mats for homeless veterans 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Mountain View Wesleyan Church, 1001 Deemer Road.

Prepping for weaving is 12:30-3:30 p.m. every first and third Wednesday of the month.
