Douglas R. Gaumer, 73, of New Tripoli, died Aug. 14, 2022, in St. Luke’s University Hospital, Bethlehem Campus.
He and his wife, Diane L. (Derr) Gaumer were married 50 years in April.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Richard Gaumer and Doris (Murdy) Bierei, and the stepson of the late Dolores Gaumer.
He was the owner of DR Gaumer Metal Fabrication, Wescosville, for 40 years.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Krumsville, and the Wheels of Time for 40 years, where he held many positions such as president, banquet committee and was the current visitation chairman.
He was also involved on the prizes committee and rod run awards.
A member of the VFW and American Legion, he was also a member of New Temple Lodge No. 720 F & AM.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Stacey L. Russo (Thomas, Jr.) of New Tripoli, and Susan C. Fritzinger (Michael) of Orefield; grandchildren Noah and Zachory Russo, and Frank and Maggie Fritzinger.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Gaumer.
Visitation will take place 8:30-10:30 a.m. Aug. 20 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.
The service will be 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 1343 Long Lane Road, Krumsville.
Interment will be at New Bethel Zion Cemetery.
