Donald L. “Pimmy” Long, 84, of Auburn, died Aug. 15, 2022, at home.
The loving husband of Shirley A. (Heintzelman) Long, the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage in March.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Florence (Strausser) Long.
He worked in the mixing department of Omnova Solutions, Auburn, for many years until retiring in 2003.
In addition to his devoted wife, his survivors include a son, David M. (Chastity) Long of Kempton; daughters Susan L. (Joseph) Ritzko and Sheila M. (Vincent) Ferraiolo, both of Auburn; five grandchildren; sisters Catherine Moran of Orwigsburg and Erma Hartz of Hamburg.
He was predeceased by a son, Charles N. Long, and siblings Dale, Kenneth, Frederick and James Long, Beatrice Lewis, Doris Hillman and Sandra Long.
His graveside memorial service will be 11 a.m. Aug. 20 at St. John’s New Cemetery, Route 895, Auburn. The Rev. Walter W. Breiner will officiate. Condolences may be made at nesterfuneralhome.com.
