Allen J. Blose, 83, of Orefield, formerly of Allentown, died Aug. 9, 2022, in the home of his granddaughter, Ashley M. Blose, with whom he resided.

Born Nov. 17, 1938, in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Wayne A. and Ellen V.M. (Clauss) Blose.

He was a customer service representative at Air Products and Chemicals Inc., Trexlertown, for 40 years before retiring in 2004.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trexlertown.

His survivors include children Susan M. Bittner (Michael) of Coplay, David A. Blose (Tracy) and Donald W. Blose (Diane), all of Allentown; sisters Barbara A. Hoyle (Richard) of Bethlehem, and Marie E. Wentz of Saylorsburg; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard W. Blose.
