Simple assault
At approximately 11:21 p.m. July 30 troopers responded to the Valley Ridge Apartments, 6714 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, for an aggravated assault in progress, according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police. A 41-year-old female parked her vehicle in a parking stall at the apartment complex, and upon exiting her vehicle, allegedly was assaulted by two unknown males wearing dark clothing and masks. The males left the scene in a dark color sedan. The woman was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, for treatment.
Burglary
A residence under construction on Benjamin Court, Upper Milford Township, was burglarized between 4:45 p.m. June 29 and 7 a.m. June 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone entered a detached garage and removed various items sometime between March 1 and May 23 at a residence on Gehman Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft
Troopers were called to a residence in the 4200 block of South Drive after a handgun was reported stolen 7:22 p.m. July 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. An investigation determined the handgun was stolen by an acquaintance and taken to New Jersey.
Terroristic threats
A 41-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested for terroristic threats after he allegedly sent threatening and harassing text messages to another person at a location on Springridge Drive East, Lower Macungie Township, July 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Public drunkenness
A 54-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested for alleged public drunkenness, harassment and disorderly conduct after troopers were called to a residence on McKeever Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:51 p.m. July 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Access device fraud
Justin Robert West, 21, of Allentown, was taken into custody after allegedly transferring $5,000 in refunds to a personal account while employed at Whole Foods Market, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 301, Lower Macungie Township, 11 a.m. May 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
Two male suspects allegedly removed $238.16 in merchandise by under ringing items at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5 p.m. July 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A female suspect allegedly removed approximately $150 in merchandise from Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 11:34 a.m. June 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A female suspect allegedly removed merchandise valued at $330 from Hobby Lobby, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Suite 270, Lower Macungie Township, 5 p.m. April 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 41-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly took an item from a shelf and returned it for cash as if she had purchased the item at a retailer on Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:16 p.m. May 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Simple assault
A person was taken into custody after allegedly brandishing a knife and harming another person at a location on Cassel Road, Lower Milford Township, 6 p.m. June 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft by deception
A resident of Main Road East was contacted by text message about a government grant and provided the text writer with $1,600 in gift cards, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 2:44 p.m. June 15 at PSP Fogelsville headquarters.
A resident of Rolling Green Place, Lower Macungie Township, received a phone call alerting him his son was in jail and needed $1,000 bond money to be released 7:49 p.m. June 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident sent the money to an address in Massachusetts.
Identity theft
A resident of Sandtrap Lane, Lower Macungie Township, discovered her identity was stolen in an Internal Revenue Service scam, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 24.
A resident of Shimerville Road, Upper Milford Township, learned a Discover credit card was opened in his name June 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A resident of Rolling Meadow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned personal information was used to open a claim for unemployment benefits after an application for unemployment benefits was denied, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 22.
Drug possession
A 61-year-old male, of Alburtis, was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine and driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Schoeneck Road/Industrial Parkway, Lower Macungie Township, 11:30 p.m. June 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 24-year-old male, of Brooklyn, N.Y., allegedly had marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at Lower Macungie Road/Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:26 a.m. May 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
An 18-year-old female, of Allentown, was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and associated drug paraphernalia after troopers on patrol observed a black Infinity G35 stopped and partially blocking the southbound lane of Riverbend Road at Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:26 a.m. May 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist allegedly told police her vehicle was out of gas.
A resident of the 6600 block of Mine Drive, Lower Macungie Township, found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a bedroom of his residence, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident reported the incident May 24.
Troopers responded to Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Road, Lower Macungie Township, for an incident involving vape pens allegedly containing Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) 9:02 a.m. April 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Accident
A 45-year-old male motorist, of Morrisville, was hurt when his vehicle overturned on Interstate 78 East, near Exit 54, Lower Macungie Township, 2 p.m. June 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist may have suffered a medical episode before veering off the roadway, according to authorities. The vehicle struck a light pole and a guardrail before toppling, landing on the right shoulder of the road. The motorist was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, for treatment. Crews from Cetronia EMS, Upper Macungie Fire Department and Sacks Automotive also responded.
A 16-year-old motorist was hurt when his vehicle rolled over twice in a single vehicle crash in the 3300 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 6:05 a.m. June 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist allegedly fell asleep while driving a 2011 Mini Cooper. The car went off the road and struck a tree before flipping. The motorist was treated at the scene for minor injuries by Emmaus EMS. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Scam
A 91-year-old resident of South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, was scammed out of $3,500, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 26.
A 32-year-old resident of Light Horse Harry Road, Lower Macungie Township, was scammed out of $350 while attempting to sell a piece of furniture through an online marketplace, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 23.
Protection from abuse order violation
A 38-year-old male, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order after troopers responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Robert Road, Upper Milford Township, May 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
