Hanover Township, Lehigh County, will be hosting the second annual Community Night Out 4-7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at Canal Park, 1960 Dauphin St., Hanover Township.

The event’s rain date is scheduled for Aug 24.

The outdoor celebration will offer food, drinks and plenty of activities for kids.

Mix and mingle with township officials, including Hanover Township Council, public works crew and Han-Le-Co Fire Company. Residents will also get a chance to meet with representatives from the office of state Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-18th, and state Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd.

Enjoy sweet treats from DonutNV and savory bites from the Taste Smokers. Don’t forget to wash it down with beverages from special guest vendors Kilimanjaro Distillery and Taylor House Brewing Company.

The food and treat offerings do not stop there; guests can expect to see a variety of options.

While the adults are entertained by musical guest Billy Bauer, the kids will be occupied with a petting zoo, pony rides and a visit from Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Activities such as face painting with Catty Cares and child fingerprinting with Community Partners for Kids will also be offered.

Get a chance to chat with the community and entertain the kids before the warm weather fades away. Food, drinks, entertainment and more will be provided by Hanover Township, Lehigh County, and all residents are welcome.
