Sims Quality Market, 2444 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, was busy July 28 selling tickets for the Mega Millions Lottery which had reached $1.34 billion.
Although, no one in the Lehigh Valley won the big bucks, a single winning ticket with the numbers 67, 45, 57, 36, 13 and 14 was sold at a Speedway in Des Plaines, Ill.
The winner has yet to be identified.
Sims Quality Markets owner Ray Patel was delighted with the amount of foot traffic the lottery attracted to his Walbert Avenue store.
Both customers who routinely shop at Sims, as well as new customers, made a path to Patel’s front door.
