Mary Ann “Mertz” Snyder, 84, of North Catasauqua, died July 31, 2022.

Born in North Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Frank P. and Sophie E. (Podorsky) Snyder.

She was a 1956 Catasauqua High School graduate.

She was an office manager for Prudential Insurance offices in Allentown for more than 40 years until she retired.

She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, formerly St. Andrew’s, in North Catasauqua. She was a lector and a choir and Altar and Rosary Society member. She was a volunteer pierogie maker at the church.

She is survived by two nephews, Eric Snyder and wife Tina and their children Andrew and James and Marc Snyder and his children Madison and Olivia; Anne Marie Makle and husband Thomas and their son Ethan; and two nieces, Kristine Kranzley and husband Christopher and their children Nathan and Taylor and Suzanne Holderman and husband Nevin and their children Sydney and Elizabeth.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frank “Jive” J. Snyder; and a sister, Barbara Lynch.
