For anyone from Catasauqua who attends the events at the Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., there will be a penny party 1 p.m. Aug. 14.

Doors open noon.

Refreshments will be available for purchase.

There is an admission package for purchase.

There will be many items to bid on, offering great bargains for everyone. Bring your jars of pennies as well as some bags to take home your goodies.

The Morning Glories of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will next meet 10 a.m. Aug. 15.

Jillian Emert from the Catasauqua Community Food Bank will be the speaker.

Donations of spaghetti sauce, jelly and dry or canned soups are welcomed.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be hosting its free community lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 15.

All are welcome.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church will be sponsoring a taco bar 4-7 p.m. Aug. 27.

The event is for takeout or outdoor seating and will be held rain or shine.

The menu includes hard, soft or walking tacos with all the fixings, a beverage and dessert.

Reservations are encouraged but not required. Call 610-739-6006.

Cost is by donation.

Proceeds support LVHN Street Medicine, which serves the local homeless.
