Steven J. Shedlock, 55, of Emmaus, died Aug. 6, 2022, in his home. Born in Elizabeth, N. J., he was the son of Jeanne (Fortunato) Shedlock and the late John S. Shedlock.
He honorably served his country as an infantryman in the U.S. Army for six years during the Gulf War. He received the Army Commendation Medal as well as numerous other honorable awards.
After leaving the service, he was a medical equipment installer for Siemens in Germany and then with Remetronix in the United States.
He acknowledged his greatest achievement in life to be his child, Sofia.
He is survived by his mother; girlfriend, Ginger Muse; daughter, Sofia; sisters, Sandra Cary and Suzanne and her husband, Steve Butterweck; nephews, Julian Butterweck and Jack Cary. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Julia Fortunato; a sister, Jackie and a brother-in-law, Jerry Cox.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home for the benefit of Sofia’s education.
Visitation will be held 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, 18049 followed immediately by a memorial service.
