Harold “Pete” B. Garland Jr., 87, of Hanover Township, died on July 29, 2022. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Harold B. and Edith J. (Allam) Garland. He was the husband of the late Sue (Walker) Garland.
He taught in the Northampton Area School District from 1959 until he retired in 1993.
He was on the property committee of his church, Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
He was a charter member of the Ambulance Corps of Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 of Northampton County. He was a Master Mason and a Shriner. He was a treasurer of the Northampton ASD Employee Credit Union for many years.
He is survived by his companion, Patricia Gubish; three children, Mindy S., Vicky Romagnoli and husband Thomas and Peter M. and wife Jennifer, all of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Christopher R. and Sara E. George and Katherine N. and Abigail E. Garland; sister, Eleanore A. Weiss of Atlanta, Ga. He was predeceased by sister, Jeannette G. Williamson; and a half-sister, Cynthia Fehnel.
