Fred Mindlin, 84, of Macungie, died Aug. 5, 2022, in his residence. He was the husband of Linda K. (Faust) Mindlin. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mae (Levitt) Mindlin.

He honorably served his country in the Army Reserves.

He owned and operated five Fred Mindlin Discount Tire locations for many years, retiring in 2006. Later he worked part-time as a shuttle driver for Kelly Automotive.

He was of the Jewish faith.

He was a past member of Brookside Country Club and enjoyed golf and bowling.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Bryna and her husband, Roger Brush and their children, Dylan and Austin; Suzi and her husband, Larry Sacknoff and their children, Alex and Raquel; a son, Todd Shollenberger and his wife, Lisa and their children, Joshua and Samantha; a brother, Robert.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Aug. 20 in the clubhouse at Wild Cherry Knoll, 2657 Terrwood Drive West, Macungie.
