Salisbury Theatre to hold fundraiser Aug. 18

In preparation for this coming school year, the district has announced breakfast and lunch will no longer be free for all students. If you believe your child may qualify for free or reduced meals, complete the application for this as soon as possible. A paper copy of the application is available at each school office. To complete the form online, visit compass.state.pa.us.
Breakfast this year will be $1.90 for all students and lunch will be $2.95 at Salisbury Elementary School and $3.25 at Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School.
Save the date! Salisbury Theatre will hold a fundraiser at the Udder Bar, 1852 Allen St, Allentown, 6-10 p.m. Aug. 18. Come out for a yummy ice cream snack and support Salisbury Theatre.
Where are all my ‘fest lovers? Musikfest returns this year Aug. 4-11 with many great concerts and fun for everyone ... and don’t forget the amazing food options.
Any school district students currently in grades 5-11 who are considering playing an SMS/SHS sport, being a team manager or joining twirling/marching band, must have a physical dated on or after June 1 to participate in athletics/marching band/twirling in the 2022-2023 school year. Athletes must take their completed Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. forms to the school.
The 2022 Salisbury Football Golf Classic will be held at Wedgewood Golf Course Aug. 13 with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Registrations are still being accepted for singles and foursomes. The Movie Tavern continues to hold its Summer Family Film series. With matinee showings on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, scheduled family friendly movies will be showing. “The Croods: A New Age” will show Aug. 3-4, “The Angry Birds Movie 2” will show Aug. 7-8 and Aug. 10-11 and “Scoob!” will show Aug. 14-15 and Aug. 17-18. The Movie Tavern will have discounted drinks and popcorn available as well. Tickets are available at marcustheatres.com/theatre-locations/movie-tavern-trexlertown. There are only a few weeks left of this series.
The Devonshire drop-off location will be open for recycling drop off 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 4 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6. The Franko Farm drop-off center will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 8 and 11 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 13.
