Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association is holding registration online at hokeypark.com for baseball and softball for the fall season. Registration closes 11 p.m. Aug. 5.

Season dates run Aug. 15-Oct. 31.

HPPA will be hosting K to 18U teams for girls and Grasshopper to 19 for boys.

Reminder: Vacation Bible School continues 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 4 and 5 at Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., with a “Monumental - Celebrating God’s Greatness” theme. VBS is a free event for those from age 3 to sixth-graders.

Come out for a glow-in-the-dark swim night 7-9 p.m. Aug. 10 at Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St., Hokendauqua. Glow sticks will be provided to participants.

The pool closes 6 p.m. and will reopen 7 p.m. for the event.

There are only a few more weeks for HPPA’s summer basketball Skills and Drills nights, held at Hokendauqua Park, 3417 Lehigh St., for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Girls will continue to play Aug. 10 and 24, and boys will play Aug. 17, all 6-7:30 p.m.

VBS is planned for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 13 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, for both youth and adults.

“We will be engaged in scripture, crafts, games, music, snacks and a lot of fun,” the church newsletter states.

The cost is $30 for Whitehall residents and $35 for nonresidents.
