Dine in Dimmick Food Truck Festival debuts

Saturday, June 4 marked the debut of the “Dine in Dimmick” food truck festival held in Hellertown’s Dimmick Park.

Hellertown’s first-ever food truck festival was presented by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce.

The event featured several food and beverage vendors including live music by Yuengling Porter on Tap and The Wonton Soups.

“Our partnerships in Hellertown have been long standing and strong,” said Jessica O’Donnell, EVP of Affiliated Chambers, Easton Initiatives and Northern Tier for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, “and bringing another fun, community-oriented event is something our chamber is proud to be part of.”

Sisters Kelsey Mack and Jackie Reph of Jackie's French Fries. Jackie's serves fresh cut French fries including cheese fries and chicken fingers.
Steve and Shannan Schwartzinger brought their Kona Ice food truck to the festival. They serve flavored shaved ice with vitamin-fortified, and sweetened with pure cane sugar and all natural stevia Leaf extract.
James Aldio of the Curd Zone. The Curd Zone focuses on deep fried cheese curds straight from Wisconsin.
Briton and Bryanna were getting their Kona Ices ready on a warm sunny afternoon in Dimmick Park.
One of the live music acts included Yingling Porter on Tap. The two-man group includes Frank Porter and Doug Yuengling on guitars.

The Allentown based Greek Street food truck offers a variety of authentic Greek foods for sale.
One of several food trucks on hand was Bad Mother Shuckers. Some of the menu items include oysters on the half shell, Po'Boy, hush puppies, General Tso's shrimp and grits.
Another food vendor was Delicious Dogs and More which serves 100 percent all beef hot dogs at events and parties.
