Coopersburg Historical Society, 5 N. Main St., Second Floor, Coopersburg will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of Lehigh Valley Passport to History Month.
Saint John’s UCC, 538 East Thomas St., will participate in Coopersburg Community Day with a yard sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Light breakfast fare, delicious grab-and-go sandwiches and beverages will also be available at the church. For more information, contact the church office at 610-282-3310.
Milford Park Ladies Day begins 10 a.m. at Milford Park Bible Camp, 6451 Chestnut St., Zionsville. Diane Purdin will speak and a catered lunch will be held noon. There is a cost for the luncheon and tickets must be purchased in advance. To purchase tickets, call 484-300-9269.

July 31
Church of the Good Shepherd UCC, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, will host a dedication ceremony for its new community prayer garden. The event begins 11 a.m. and will include a butterfly release. The garden is funded and paved with engraved bricks commemorating past and current church and community members.
Aug. 2
The Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. The program will be “Pass the Dandelion, Please.” The original vintage play by Frank Laudenslager, former member and president of Emmaus Garden Club in the 1980s and 1990s and husband of Lucie, will be presented by the EGC Thespians. Come and see your friends act and sing in this entertaining show. Listen carefully for the plays on words and other comedy elements. Supposedly, any resemblance to garden club members is strictly coincidental, but you may leave wondering about that! Guests are always welcome. For more information, call 610-395-0903.
Emmaus Police Department’s Family Fun Night/Open House 6-8 p.m. with many events planned including dunk a police officer or member of borough council, take a tour of the police department and watch a K-9 demonstration. Music will be provided by DJ Dutch, treats from Rita’s, the Macungie Mountain Herb Food Truck or a hot dog served by members of borough council and borough staff. Crafts and special guests planned.
The Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild meets 6:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 4601 Tilghman St., Allentown. Guild member Julie Borden will present a trunk show on wool applique. She will display many of her wool appliqued quilts and will share what has consumed much of her time over the past 30 years. Visitors are welcome. For more information, visit www.crazyquilters.org.
The Salisbury Township Police Department National Night Out will begin 5 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Event highlights include free food and games, face painting and music performances. Emergency vehicles also will be on display.

The Seed Farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus, hosts its inaugural fall plant sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 21. A wide selection of vegetables, herbs and flowers, all grown at The Seed Farm, will be available for purchase. Varieties that are cold and frost tolerant will be featured. The 70th annual Vera Cruz Homecoming noon to 8 p.m. Mystic Chain Park, Main Road East, Vera Cruz. Activities will include a cakewalk 3:15 p.m. Food and beverages will be available. Uncle Jeffrey will broadcast live from the Homecoming 3-5 p.m. Musical entertainment will include the Rehrig Brothers noon to 3 p.m. and The Large Flowerheads (Flowerpower) 5-8 p.m. Preceding the annual Homecoming will be the Sunday morning community Homecoming service 9 a.m. at Vera Cruz E.C. Church, 5501 Vera Cruz Road. The service will include special music presented by Jeffrey and Sarah Tankred.
