Dean’s list is announced
Students have been named to the University of Delaware dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled full time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Hollins University
Ramos earns degree
Angelica Ramos, of Whitehall, received the MFA Master of Fine Arts in creative writing during Hollins University’s 180th commencement ceremony May 22.
Hollins is an independent liberal arts university offering undergraduate liberal arts education for women and selected graduate programs for women and men. The university features 29 undergraduate majors and 15 coed graduate and certificate programs. Hollins is also home to a nationally recognized creative writing program; the innovative Batten Leadership Institute; and the Rutherfoord Center for Experiential Learning, which encompasses study abroad at an array of destinations around the world, domestic and international internships with top tier businesses and organizations, and undergraduate research opportunities in a range of fields.
Harding University
Hess, Morse named to dean’s list
Baylie Hess, a senior studying elementary education, and Grace Morse, a senior studying communication sciences and disorders, both of Whitehall, are among more than 1,200 Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the spring 2022 semester.
Harding University is a private Christian, liberal arts university located in Searcy, Ark. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, it is the largest private university in the state. Harding’s student body represents students from across the U.S. and more than 50 nations and territories. The university offers more than 110 undergraduate majors, 14 preprofessional programs, more than 40 graduate and professional programs and numerous study abroad opportunities including locations in Australasia, Peru, England, Greece, Italy and Zambia.
Widener University
Degrees awarded
Widener University recently awarded degrees to undergraduate students who completed their studies. Ceremonies were held May 12 and 14. The university provided two in-person celebration options: a drive-thru ceremony May 12 where graduates were able to exit their vehicles and be recognized as they crossed a stage in front of the historic Old Main administration building or a traditional ceremony May 14 at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.

Founded in 1965, DeSales University, Center Valley, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students and graduate students.
DeSales, located on a 550-acre suburban campus, has approximately 135 full-time faculty members and offers more than 40 bachelor’s degrees, 12 graduate programs and more than 20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines; many of these can be completed fully online.
Coastal Carolina University
Blount graduates, named to president’s list
Aja Blount, of Northampton, graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a communication degree during a spring commencement ceremony May 7 in Brooks Stadium, which featured a keynote address by Vanessa Wyche, a Conway, S.C., native and director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Each of CCU’s academic colleges held individual ceremonies during the weekend, where graduates’ names were called and they had the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive their diploma covers.
Blount was also named to the president’s list for the spring 2022 semester. Students who made the president’s list have achieved a 4.0 grade-point average during the semester.
Coastal Carolina University is a dynamic, public comprehensive liberal arts institution located in Conway, S.C. CCU offers baccalaureate degrees in 95 major fields of study. Kleintop graduates
Leah Kleintop, of Coplay, graduated from the University of Hartford in May. Kleintop earned a Bachelor of Science in health sciences.
