Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

JUNE 29

Traffic violations took place in the 200 block of Lehigh Street, with a verbal warning given, and at Third and Strawberry streets.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the unit block of West Race Street.

Suspicious activity - a rifle and/or pellet gun in a yard - in the 100 block of American Street was investigated twice.

A nonfatal overdose in the 100 block of Church Street was reported.

In the 500 block of St. John Street, a security check was conducted.

JUNE 30

Noise complaints were addressed in the 100 block of South Front Street and at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers at Green and Main streets with a suspected DUI.

Traffic violations occurred at North Dauphin and Irving streets, Hanover Township, twice; in the 200 block of Lehigh Street, with a citation issued; in the 700 block of Crane Street, with a citation issued; and at Fourth and Pine streets, with the tractor-trailer rerouted.

A reportable motor vehicle accident took place at Lehigh and Poplar streets.

A 19-year-old male, of Nesquehoning, was arrested for DUI and criminal trespassing in the 500 block of St. John Street.

JULY 1

Parking violations occurred in the 300 block of School Street, with the vehicle towed, and in the 500 block of Third Street.

An issue between a landlord and tenant took place in the 500 block of Race Street.

A security check was conducted in the 500 block of St. John Street.

JULY 2

Welfare checks were conducted at Second and Walnut streets and at Catasauqua Apartments, 118 Bridge St.

A dog missing from the unit block of Second Street was reported.

JULY 3

A traffic violation occurred at 880 Walnut St. A written warning was given.

Police conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of Front Street.

An unattended death in the 700 block of Second Street was investigated.

A nonfatal overdose in the unit block of Cambridge Place had police at the scene.

In the 300 block of Mulberry Street, a hit and run took place. There were no victims or suspects.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police at Fourth and Buttonwood streets with a report of a fight.

JULY 4

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 100 block of Race Street.

A reported fraud that occurred in the unit block of Stonewood Place is under investigation.

Noise complaints were addressed at the same residence twice in the 200 block of South Front Street.

Fireworks complaints in the 100 block of Union Street, the unit block of Cambridge Place, at Catasauqua Apartments, 118 Bridge St., at South 12th Street and Bethlehem Road, in the 200 block of Peach Street and the 800 block of Race Street were filed with the department.

JULY 5

Fireworks complaints in the 100 block of Front Street, at Catasauqua Apartments, 118 Bridge St., and in the 700 block of Second Street were investigated.

Police conducted a welfare check in the 300 block of Howertown Road.

Traffic citations occurred at Third and Bridge streets and at Church and Front streets, with citations issued.

A parking complaint was addressed in the 700 block of Second Street.

Cash was removed from, then returned to, a vehicle in the 600 block of Poplar Street.

In the 300 block of Church Street, a lost dog was reported.

A civil matter between a landlord and tenant took place in the 500 block of Race Street.

JULY 6

Police conducted a welfare check in the 600 block of Fourth Street.

Traffic violations took place in the 300 block of Second Street, with citations issued, the 200 block of Race Street, with a written warning issued, and at Second and Union streets.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police at Fourth and Almond streets and Coplay police in the unit block of North Second Street.

A harassment complaint in the 800 block of Faith Drive was addressed.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., a disturbance involving juveniles was investigated.

JULY 7

A barking dog in the 300 block of Wood Street was reported.

Officers responded to a report of a missing juvenile in the 600 block of Third Street.

Police assisted an outside agency with serving a subpoena in the 500 block of Kurtz Street.
