On July 23 and 24, the 1803 House will again participate in the Lehigh Valley Passport to History Month. It is a celebration of local history, stories and the community that brings Lehigh Valley history to life. To date, 36 historic sites have signed on to open their doors.
The 1803 House will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 23 and noon to 4 p.m. July 24. Vintage toys and games with hands on fun for all, an outdoor photo scavenger hunt, personal house tours, archaeological dig news, the herb garden in full bloom and “Peppermint Stick Lemon Squeeze,” which the 1803 House calls “Jacob’s Juice,” an old-fashioned lemonade. Enjoy a drink and snacks under the big Butternut shade tree. The 1803 House is located at 55 S. Keystone Ave., Emmaus. For questions, email friends@1803house.org or visit www.1803house.org.
