Elmhurst University

Maxwell graduates

Three ceremonies were held May 21 for the Class of 2022.

Hofstra University

Apple named to dean’s list

Lexi Apple, of Northampton, excelled during the spring 2022 semester at Hofstra, achieving a grade-point average of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the dean’s list.

University of Alabama

Wunsch, Yeager graduate

University of Alabama awarded 5,907 degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies May 6-8. Among the graduates are Austin Wunsch, of Whitehall, who received a Bachelor of Science in commerce and business administration, and Elizabeth Yeager, of Coplay, who received a Master of Science.

Fairmont State University

Brett named to dean’s list

Nearly 1,000 Fairmont State University students have been honored for their academic achievements throughout the spring 2022 semester by attaining president’s list and dean’s list. Full-time students who earned a 3.4 or better GPA are named to the dean’s list. Full-time students achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA are named to the president’s list. Austin Brett, of Catasauqua, has achieved dean’s list.

York College of Pennsylvania

Students graduate

York College of Pennsylvania’s Class of 2022 was the first to enjoy the typical outdoor commencement exercise since the Class of 2019. Nearly 700 graduates, earning associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, were recognized during the ceremony, held May 14.

Washburn University

Wittreich earns dean’s list

Washburn University has announced its spring 2022 dean’s list honorees. Among them is Shannon Wittreich, of Northampton. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must be enrolled in 12 hours of graded credits and earn a semester GPA of 3.4 to 3.99.

Susquehanna University

Students graduate

Susquehanna University conferred degrees upon 520 students at the conclusion of its 164th academic year. The following students earned degrees.

Bath: Larisa Calvo, Bachelor of Arts in Spanish studies and a Bachelor of Science in marketing, cum laude

Coplay: Joshua Wagner, Bachelor of Science in finance, cum laude; Kiara Bryant, Bachelor of Arts in communications with a focus in advertising and marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing, magna cum laude

Walnutport: Victoria Gardineer, Bachelor of Science in biology, summa cum laude

Whitehall: Megan Herbine, Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and economics with a focus in financial economics, summa cum laude

Missouri State University

Frace named to dean’s list

Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list. For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).

Virginia Frace, of Bath, made the list. Frace was among more than 4,700 students named to the spring 2022 dean’s list.
