Shirley M. Benner, 84, formerly of Emmaus, died July 9, 2022, in her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Stanley I. Benner. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Kermit “Bud” Rader and Florence Henry.
She worked at the Emmaus Pajama Factory, the Ribbon Factory, Pet Milk, Fairtex, was a waitress at the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, cooked at the Emmaus Nest of Owls, was a crossing guard and a longtime foster parent.
She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus, the Emmaus Nest of Owls Ladies Auxiliary and Fire Company #1.
She is survived by daughters, Ellen and her husband, Ronald Schoenly, Deborah and her husband, Charles Yoachim; a son, William Stanley and his fiancée, Kim Ziegler; seven grandchildren; seven step-granchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. July 16 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. July 16 in the funeral home.
