Do you like blueberries? The annual blueberry festival is happening July 16, 17 at the Burnside Plantation in Bethlehem. There will be crafts, games and all kinds of blueberry food. There will be cakes and muffins, but also blueberry salsa, jam, syrup, vinaigrette, pancakes and more. Local musicians will be on hand, along with demonstrations by Neverland K-9 Institute. Bring the family!
If blueberries aren’t your thing, how about Breakfast with the Beasts at Lehigh Valley Zoo? Either July 16 or 17, get early entrance to the zoo and watch the animals get fed, get a guided tour and have a delicious breakfast yourself. In preparation for the upcoming football season, the Salisbury football program will hold the 2022 Salisbury Football Golf Classic at Wedgewood Golf Course Aug. 13. Salisbury Township’s Summer Playground Program is rapidly coming to an end. The last day will be July 22. The big end of season celebration, Playground Day will be held July 13, with a rain date of July 14 at Lindberg Park. Transportation from Laubach Park will be provided. Look forward to a day of games, prizes and fun!
Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are open. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Franko Farm will be open July 14, 16 and 25.
