Fullerton: History event set for July 16, 23
Whitehall Historical Preservation Society, located at the Helfrich Springs Grist Mill, 501 Mickley Road, will be participating in the Passport to History event July 16 and 23.
There will be an open house 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., is planning an ice cream social 1 p.m. July 16 in the pavilion.
Novelties will be there for purchase.
St. John’s is collecting school supplies for the Whitehall-Coplay School District. A collection box can be found in the coat room area by the sanctuary, along with a complete list of items.
There will also be a school supplies donation event 10 a.m.-noon July 23 at the pavilion.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding monthly bingo July 24.
The doors open 1 p.m., and bingo begins 2 p.m.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.
There will be a tricky tray and a 50/25/25 raffle. There will also be a piggy number. The last special of the day, the coverall jackpot, is $100.
Remember to mark your calendar for 1 p.m. Aug. 14 for a penny party.

Whitehall Active Community Center has many activities in place, such a Silver Sneaker-certified instructors for chair yoga, strength and stretch and Tai Chai; Monday morning Bells, Bands and Bodies exercise provided free by Transform; Tuesday afternoon movies once a month; monthly computer class provided free by the Whitehall Township Public Library; monthly craft classes; weekly cash bingo Thursday afternoons; and monthly Sunday cash bingo.

There is also daily lunch 11:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays for a donation. Call a day or two ahead to order lunch.
