The South Parkland Lehigh Valley Legion baseball team remained unbeaten with a 1-0 win over North Parkland Tuesday.
The Trojans are now 15-0 with three regular season games remaining. Second-place Whitehall-Coplay (10-3) has five games left. The league playoff tournament will get underway next week.
The Trojans managed just three hits against the Buffaloes. They scored the game’s only run in the first inning when Chase Mengel walked and eventually scored on a Gavin Mohry single.
Anthony Carpenter (6.1 innings pitched, 5 hits, 9 strike outs) got the win, but gave way to John Friday after throwing 108 pitches. Friday got the final two outs to seal the win.
South Parkland beat Southern Lehigh Friday, 7-3.
Xander Provence went 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs and a run scored against Southern Lehigh. Evan Brandt (4 IP, 1 ER, 4 K) and Friday (2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 K) combined to limit the Spartans to three runs, only two of them earned.
