SCHNECKSVILLE FAIR Schnecksville youth wins first in Houser cupcake contest

Two baking contests were held at the Schnecksville Community Fair on June 23.

First on the agenda was the Houser Auctioneers’ Youth Cupcake contest.

Benjamin Weslosky, 10, of Schnecksville, repeated his first-place win at the PA Preferred Youth Baking Contest, with his entry Apple Pie Cupcakes.

Second place went to Hailey Heleva, 12, Schnecksville, another repeat for her, and third place went to her sister Hazel.

Following that contest, it was time for the very popular New Tripoli Bank’s Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest.

All the baking contests were under the direction of Kevin Minnich, board member of the Schnecksville Community Fair.

Minnich’s energy and organizational skills helped the fair have six successful baking contests.
