Enjoy music? Join the Miller Symphony Hall Lyric Society as an usher for Allentown Symphony Association events. Take tickets, answer questions or hand out programs to patrons. Enjoy the shows you are scheduled for and receive discounts to other Allentown Symphony events. The minimum age to volunteer is 16. Provide follow up and recovery planning services, including referrals, for individuals and households following regional events – primarily home fires – for American Red Cross. Volunteers may also conduct intake and provide financial assistance to qualified clients. Services may be provided in person or virtually. Seeking the services of a mason, or someone experienced in laying cinder block. Flint Hill Farm Educational Center is ready to proceed with a root cellar construction project. They have a diagram, a proposed site and a backhoe and operator to dig the foundation. This project will be offered for a community education series as the project progresses. Hardworking volunteers needed to assist with stocking and organizing shelves 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley Food Pantry in Bethlehem. Help turn tongues blue for the 35th Annual Blueberry Festival July 16 and 17, hosted by Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites. Two shifts per day are available and volunteers get a T-shirt and free piece of pie or ice cream scoop. Spots are also available for set up during the week before and market-to-go/clean up during the week after. The minimum age to volunteer is 15. Museum guides help bring the region’s history to life for visitors and aid their interaction with museum exhibits. The National Canal Museum in Easton is seeking friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to serve as museum docents/guides who are comfortable speaking with individuals and groups and able to work on the exhibit floor for up to four consecutive hours. Training and reading materials are provided. Shifts available are 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The minimum age to volunteer is 16.
