Matthew D. Eck Jr., 29, of Macungie, died unexpectedly June 20, 2022.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Matthew D. Eck Sr. and Diane J. (Fox) Eck.

A 2010 graduate of Whitehall High School, he was a member of the football and power lifting teams.

He was a self-employed carpenter and remodeler and worked very closely with his Uncle Jim in his construction business.

A lifelong Denver Bronco’s fan, he enjoyed weightlifting and was a talented artist.

He showed great loyalty to his friends and family by whom he will be truly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings Briana and Joshua; paternal grandparents James Eck Sr. and Nancy Eck of Northampton; maternal grandparents Michael and Sharon Fox of Whitehall; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and niece and nephew Aiden and Avi, who adored him.

He was predeceased by his grandmother Sandra Blaetz.
