Anna Mae Williams
Anna Mae Williams, 92, from Santa Fe, N.M., died June 20, 2022, at home.
She was the wife of Carroll R. Williams for 70 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Jennie (Oberholtzer) Mackes.
A 1947 Allentown High School graduate, she was a supervisor in the Bell of Pennsylvania long-distance traffic department.
She formerly lived in Emmaus, South Whitehall Township, Allen Township and Cherry Hill and Bridgewater, N.J.
She was active with the Lehigh Valley Pioneer Club, Girl and Boy Scout groups and the Mountainside and Allentown garden clubs.
She was a past president of the Allentown club, where she was active with the formation of the junior gardeners in association with the Phoebe Home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Larue F. Frick; children Karen and her husband Carl Rago of Sante Fe, David of Leonardtown, Md., Barbara and her husband Charles Lazenby of Atlantic, Va., and Dean and his wife Joanne of Easton; son-in-law Maurice Roberts of Newnan, Ga.; grandchildren Ross Lazenby and his wife Niki of Clermont, Fla., Katie and her husband Jason Broadwater of Salisbury, Md., Evan Rago of Redwood City, Calif., Emily Rago and partner Erick Rodas of Hayward, Calif., Dr. Alisa Williams of Baltimore, Md., Larissa Williams of Mechanicsville, Md., Lauren and her husband Adam Nieves of Newtown, Kelly and fiance Brandon Spohn of Bethlehem and Allison Williams and Christine Williams, both of Easton; great-grandchildren Addison and Bryson Lazenby of Clermont, Fla., and Darren and Callan Nieves of Newton; and step-grandchildren Carmen, John and Austin Broadwater of Salisbury, Md.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Kay L. Roberts; and a stepbrother, Kenneth Mackes of Detroit, Mich.
A celebration of life will be held on a future date.
