Salisbury board approves personnel changes

Carol Klinger, chair of the personnel committee, reported on the many personnel changes to the district at the June 15 meeting.

The following instructional assistants have been approved for the extended school year: Bevin Beckage, Erin Alulis, Kristi Kichline, Briana Lighting, Wendy St. John, Michele Miller, Jaclyn Williams, Bama Bhashyam, Kelly Gardus, Erica Miller, Linda Gardus, Rebecca Foehrkolb, Sheri Mohry, Kelly Liggitt, Laura Mackay and Priyanka Bhashyam.

Extended year teachers include Lucy Reinsmith, Melissa Cerco, Beth Neitz, Vicky Evener, Karen Orlemann and Zachary Williams.

Providing nursing services is Carol Monaghan and speech and language therapy will be provided by Ashley Merkel.

The summer Title I program will be staffed by teachers Dara Ackerman, Cindy Long, Diane Kasaczun, Mary Beth Bedics, Kristen Zellner, Stacy Strickland, Diane Sugra, Jennifer Kowalski, Lori Fortunato, April Nimeh, Kathleen McNally, Jane Brennan, Jackie Williams and Cortney Woodruff. Instructional assistants include Erin Alulis, Lynn Jacoby, Jasmine Riegel, Patricia Jacoby, Michele Miller and Ramona Plasencia and nurses Carol Monaghan, Latasha Snyder, Chris Tripp and Lynn Welliver.

Retiring in the month of August are custodians Michael Gollie, Salisbury High School and Heiam Richie, Salisbury Middle School.

Tendering their resignations are Donna Hirth, part-time mail courier, Heather Laczo, part-time 1:1 instructional assistant, SMS, Lianna Weil, part-time instructional assistant, Salisbury Elementary School, Morgan Young, part-time instructional assistant and Jennifer Dunn, special education teacher, SES.

Effective July 1, Dawn Nickisher will serve as the district’s chief financial officer/board secretary. Her 3-year term will continue until June 30, 2025. Additionally, Mary Frances Frabotta was hired as a full-time accounts payable bookkeeper.

New hires throughout the district include Michael Breiner, second shift custodian, SES, Catherine Amorim, art teacher, SES/SMS, Kristine Alder, full-time instructional assistant, SMS, Sarah Hyrcko, part-time instructional assistant, Noah McMullin, part-time health and physical education, SMS, Henrik Lindholm, full-time school psychologist, SMS/SHS, April Nimeh, elementary teacher, SES and Maegen Mostellar, special education teacher, SES.

Building substitutes approved for the 2022-2023 school year are Stacy Strickland and Morgan Young, SES, Cory Thomas and April Ziegler, SMS and Erin Bross and Michael Pennella at SHS.

The board approved the following transfers and hourly increases within the district for the 2022-2023 school year. The next scheduled school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Aug. 17 in the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road.
