Cedar Crest College hosts 2022 Mayfair festival

Jimmy and the Parrots, the Large Flowerheads, the Sofa Kings, and the Supersonic Godfathers, DMC Duo’s Marissa Dawson and Darrell Adams, who are based out of Fogelsville, were among the musicians who performed at the 2022 Mayfair Festival of the Arts May 27-29 hosted by Cedar Crest College, Allentown.

Vendors attending included Originals by Mare owner Mariann Hessinger, who designs handmade handbags and accessories for her Breinigsville business; and Artist Preet Kaur owns Lehigh Valley-based Oneness Art Studio. She held her workshop inside Harmon Hall of Peace May 29.

In addition, Bob Swaim and his wife, Gloria, returned to Mayfair from Coopersburg to present their unique collection of bicycles and human-powered vehicles.

Bob Swaim takes a load of riders around a Cedar Crest College parking lot May 29. The Conference Bike was built in 2005 and can be powered by seven riders. Swaim, his son Robert, Jack Kloiber, 10; Nathan He, 6; 2-year-old twins Marcus and Liam Rodriguez, and mom Jennifer Collado from Allentown. Behind them are Ray and Miriam Yarnell from Lower Macungie Township.
