Special to The Press
On May 14, Allentown Central Catholic High School held its annual junior and senior prom at DeSales University.
There was an event before prom for the senior class at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Sam Ulicny and Kaitlyn Janny were named Senior Prom King and Queen and Griffin Patridge and Makenna Reed were named Junior Prom King and Queen.
Members of the senior class celebrated their last day of school May 26. After finishing the last of their final exams, a Mass was held to recognize the Class of 2022 and spring sports award winners. The baccalaureate Mass for seniors was held June 2 at St. Thomas More church. Graduation took place June 3. Congratulations to senior award winners and all members of Central Catholic’s Class of 2021-2022!
Underclassmen celebrated their last day of school June 10. They celebrated with Mass and participated in move up day. The Class of 2023 kicked off the day with the traditional tailgate breakfast.
ACCHS students and parents had the opportunity to travel to Italy. Students, parents and chaperones began their journey June 13. Visits included the Basilica of St. Paul, Castel Gandolfo, the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Catacombs of St. Sebastian. The group also visited the Vatican and had a chance to experience a close view of the Pope.
Additionally, I would like to include that I am so grateful for this opportunity to help report for the Lehigh Valley Press newspapers and I am also thankful for being the recipient of the Class of ‘44 Strive Beyond Your Reach award for extraordinary effort at graduation.
This fall, I plan on attending Kutztown University and will major in marine biology.
Thank you again to everyone for always being supportive of me!
Editor’s Note: We thank Simon for his excellent reporting and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
