The Large Flowerheads are set to perform 7-10 p.m. July 1 at the Catasauqua Park Amphitheater, 501 American St.

Don’t forget your lawn chair or blanket.

The J4 celebration is soon here! The event will be held July 2 at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

Rain date is July 3.

The event kicks off with an opening ceremony 11 a.m. at the park.

Food stands, music, craft tables, flea market and games for adults and children will take place following the opening ceremony.

There will be a mega Catasauqua High School reunion during the J4 celebration. The reunion is for every class of CHS, all together at one time.

Sue Kittek will speak at the Catasauqua Garden Club meeting 1 p.m. July 6 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

She will present “Bounty of Summer” and will uncover unique ways to use the bounty of the garden, such as tasty tomatoes, snappy peppers, crispy cucumbers or whatever you have in your garden in abundance.

Parking is available in the rear of the building.

Garden club members will produce entries for the artistic and horticultural judging.

Garden-friendly visitors are welcome and may become active members.
