The Coplay Public Library summer reading program is here! This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities.”

Registration is ongoing at coplaypubliclibrary@beanstack.com. Beanstack includes more information and ideas for earning additional points and prizes.

Events at the library, including those for the summer reading program, will be posted on the website’s events calendar and Facebook page as they are finalized.

Stop by the library to design your own treasure chest. The library will provide materials - just bring your imagination.

If anyone has empty shoe boxes, we are glad to take them off your hands for a craft idea for the summer. You may drop them off at the library during open hours.

We are accepting donations for our October book sale, tentatively set for Oct. 7 and 8.

We can no longer accept textbooks or encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest, magazines, books with writing or with torn or missing pages, anything damaged or VHS tapes.

Do not put donations in or by the book drop or by the doors. Staff members will assist you if needed.

If you are vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask in the library. If you are not vaccinated, continue to wear a mask for your safety and the safety of others.

We also encourage maintaining social distancing to ensure safety.

The summer hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.

Regular hours will return Aug. 29.
