Lebanon Valley College
Schucker, Kroboth named to dean’s list
Cody Schucker, of Bath, and Jessica Kroboth, of Whitehall, are among more than 700 Lebanon Valley College students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Schucker is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science and is a graduate of Northampton Area High School. Kroboth is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy in physical therapy and is a graduate of Whitehall High School.
For four consecutive years (2018-2021), Lebanon Valley College has been listed as No. 1 in Pennsylvania for graduate job placement by the career guidance site Zippia.com, using federal data. Lebanon Valley College offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and graduate degrees in accounting/MBA (3+1), applied kinesiology, athletic training, business administration, clinical exercise physiology, clinical mental health counseling, education, intelligence and security studies, music education, speech-language pathology, sport performance and STEM education and numerous graduate certificates. The college employs 122 full-time faculty members; of the permanent faculty, 83 percent have Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degrees. The student-faculty ratio is 12:1, with an average class size of 20. These numbers reflect the college’s commitment to student- centered curricula, individualized attention and immersive learning experiences.

Pierce named to dean’s list
Margaret Pierce, of Catasauqua, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at University of Vermont. Pierce is in the college of arts and sciences majoring in history.
To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better and rank in the Top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Students named to dean’s list
Alyssa Milan, of Coplay, and Austen Hochstrasser, of Northampton, have made the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University for the spring 2022 semester.
The dean’s list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester GPA of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Bucknell University
Ziadi graduates
Bucknell University celebrated nearly 900 graduates from the Class of 2022 May 22, whose degrees will be conferred in June.
One graduate is Yara Ziadi, of Whitehall. The class represents 62 majors across Bucknell’s three colleges (arts and sciences, engineering and the Freeman College of Management). These students hail from 33 U.S. states and 25 nations.
Founded in 1846 and located along the banks of the Susquehanna River in historic Lewisburg, Bucknell University is an undergraduate-focused institution that stands uniquely at the intersection of top-ranked liberal arts, engineering and management programs. Students choose from more than 60 majors and 70 minors in the arts, engineering, humanities, management and natural and social sciences, as well as extensive global study, service learning and research opportunities.

Megan Fenstermaker, of Coplay, and Patrick Mattes, of Bethlehem, were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at Misericordia University. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have a 3.55 GPA or higher.
University of Scranton
Students earn degrees
More than 850 bachelor’s degrees were conferred at University of Scranton’s undergraduate commencement ceremony May 21 at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre. Degrees were conferred to graduates who had completed their academic degree requirements in August and December of 2021, as well as January and May of 2022.
